Hey everybody! Ciao tutti!
Its been about a month since I've written and everything has changed. Because my host mom has recently had back surgery, she has had to rest a lot and take trips to the hospital frequently; so at the beginning of May I moved to a host family thinking it was only temporary. But when I went to my house last week to pick up a package that was delivered, my host mom told me it was best if I made the change permanent. I am really sorry to have to leave them, and I will definitely visit them a lot before I leave; but its for the best. The perks of the move have been this: upstairs all to myself, wifi (I have been stuck to the wall at the other house for 6 months), and ALL my friends finally being 10 minutes walking distance from my house; My social life thus has been far easier lately. My new host parents are pretty nice, the host dad (who is really old) loves to talk about EVERYTHING! He once gave me an hour long tour of all the artwork in his house, it was interesting but after a while it did get a little boring (sorry Tomaso). They seem really understanding of how I am, they leave me alone when I go to my room, and don't mind if I go out for lunch or dinner. So we will see how it all pans out; tomorrow I am planning on moving all my stuff over here. Consider it a practice run for July.
The second big thing that has been happening is EXAMS! For the next two weeks I will be taking finals exams! I am not really nervous, since the teachers have been really great and understanding that well...I dont speak their language. All of the art type classes are going to be a breeze, but with the Chemistry and History subjects I am going to have to stick my head in the book for a while. If I pass the exams I get my MASTER OF ART DIPLOMA! I am so excited! If I get that I have the feeling that my college and scholarship applications will play out a little bit better for me. THANK YOU ITALY!
